Our Story
As the 4th and 5th generations to raise a variety of livestock on this same land, we have always felt we belonged here being involved in production agriculture. As agriculture has changed over the years, each generation has shifted further from truly making a living off of the farm to supplementing the family income with off farm jobs and the farm becoming almost a hobby.
We raise and crossbreed a combination of 3 main breeds of hogs. Berkshire, Chester White and Duroc's have each been selected because of traits that we like. Each are known to have a higher amount of intramuscular fat than many commercial hogs. While we do not want to raise a "porky" lard type of hog that was popular in the 1940's, we also don't like the ultra lean, flavorless super fast growing hogs of todays mega farms.
